Sadie's pics

I finally had a chance to play with photoshop (Drew gave it to me for Christmas). I've taken a few online tutorials, so I'm slowly learning.

I was happy with how these turned out! Isn't she a cutie!

Patience....

Sadie: Mom, I want my smoothie.

Me: We have to wait while they make our smoothies.

Sadie: I don't want to wait. I want my smoothie NOW!!

Me: Please don't yell. I'm sorry, but you have to wait a few minutes.

Sadie: I want my smoothie.

Me: I know, but you have to be patient and wait.

Sadie: NO! I don't want to.

Me (at this point I'm just blowing smoke): I know- where's my smoothie? I want my smoothie too, but I have to wait.

Sadie (in a very calm, motherly voice): you have to be patient mom.

Spring Trips

Here are some pics from our spring trips! (I'm a little late getting these posted)

Sadie really enjoyed the taste of sand and dirt at the Sand Dunes. This really is one of my favorite places to camp in the spring- unless the wind is blowing, then it's really miserable, but for the most part, the weather was good and we had a blast! Drew would take us down sand hills that were so steep and fast, it took my stomach away, and Sadie would just giggle the whole time and say "again, again!".
Sadie and her Cousin, Ty, were trying to catch bubbles (another one of Sadie's favorite things to do!)

Sadie flying a kite all by herself for the fist time! She thought it was awesome- until she let go and the kite flew away, but we paid our 14 year old niece, Shawnee, to track it down and untangle it- which she amazingly did! Thanks Shawnee!
It looks like she could tip over in this picture
Daddy is so helpful!
Sadie is on top of that sand dune with her cousins.
Then our trip to St. George (actually- I think this happened before our trip to the Dunes). We went with Drew's cousin, Keb, and his family- Amy, Aspen, Londyn, and Amy's sister, Alex, came too.

This picture is of Sadie waving to everyone that passed by her on an ATV.

Sadie thought is was more fun to ride with Aspen, so she spent a lot of time with them.
The kids loved the sand!

Introducing Suzie

Here's Sadie's new pony, Suzie! Isn't she adorable! The first time Sadie rode Suzie, was when we first brought her home, and Suzie was a little nervous, but Sadie was crying because she wanted to ride Suzie so bad, so we put Sadie on, and Suzie kind of jumped to the side, so we pulled Sadie off really quick and it scared Sadie enough that she hasn't been on since.

So, I've been riding Suzie (yes, it's very comical) to get her ready for Sadie to ride next year.

Sadie loves to brush, pet and feed Suzie.

Thank you mom and dad for letting us keep Suzie at your house!

Congrats Shawnee!

Yeah! My adorable niece made Drill Team at Westlake High School! Shawnee is the oldest of my 12 nieces and nephews on Drew's side and will be a freshman this fall. We love her fun personality and are so proud of her! Congratulations Shawnee!

P.S. I still have my Purple Pioneer Pride, but for right now...go Westlake!

Deep Thoughts- By Teisha

My deep thought for the day-

I've heard many times that by exercising, you'll have more energy,- but how do you find the energy to exercise in the first place?

"24"

I have to give another farewell, this time it's to "24", the series finale is tonight.

Since Drew and I were married, (and with the help of a DVR,) we have been enthralled with the awesome character of Jack Bauer. He's tortured and killed and maimed any number of people- but always in an effort to protect the good people of America. I know some of the plots have been a little outrageous, and how many times did Jack have to find a hidden bomb? But it's always been exciting and left us dying to see the next episode.

This is the only TV series Drew and I watch, (okay, I sometimes give into the guilty pleasure of Grey's Anatomy once in a while), so we'll no longer have a show, which makes me sad, especially because this has been a long and good tradition for us.

So I hope Jack Bauer finally finds happiness (although it's doubtful), and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for "24", the movie!
