Fish Lake

We went on the annual camping trip with the Wilson family (Drew's extended family) to Fish Lake. We always have such a good time! I was a little delinquent in taking photos on this trip because I was nervous about ruining my nice camera, but I still got some good shots, there's just not a lot of variety.

I love this picture, because Sadie pulls this face all the time when she's concentrating or focusing on something. She totally gets that look from her daddy!

Not sure what's happing here, but it looks serious. (Drew, Dalton, and Coby)

I think Sadie's most favorite thing to do on this trip (besides playing in the dirt and riding the wheelers) is playing with "bubbles". Here she is with her new best friend Aspen (Amy and Keb's 4 year old girl). These two had lots of fun together!

Sadie loved this chair. It's not even her's. I don't know who it belonged to, but she thought it was pretty neat! She sat in it forever, and she insisted that I walk back to the trailer and get her sippy cup so that she could put it in the drink holder, and of course I went and got it for her. She thought she was so grown up sitting there.

A lonely anniversary

Today is our 4 year anniversary, and Drew is out of town for work, and Sadie is coming down with a cold, so I'm expecting to be up with her during the night. (oh how quickly things have changed in 4 years!).
But before you start feeling sorry for me, Drew and I went to the Zermatt Resort in Midway last month, and we counted that as our anniversary celebration! Drew did surprise me with flowers at work today, so that was very thoughtful of him :) It's been an amazing 4 years with lots of fun adventures, and good laughs. Drew is such an amazing husband. He works so hard to take care of our family and I love him more and more each day!

The beginning of our family....(couldn't find the digital wedding pics, so here's an engagement pose instead with our dog Katie)

Happy 4th!

We went to the Wilson cabin for the July 4 Holiday
This is Sadie with her cousin, Gavin. They were born exactly one year apart on the same day. These two look pretty suspicious to me.

Here's a good look at the pony tail, which I'm finally able to put in Sadie's hair (barely). Hopefully now that her head growth has slowed, her hair will have time to catch up!

Here's Sadie at the Parade in Mt. Pleasant. (nothing like the Lehi parade, but still good and very fun!)

Here's a shot of Sadie with her cousins. (minus 4 California cousins)

"Round-Up"

I like this picture because it shows a wave of pink! This is Sadie with her cousins- Ty, Hayden, and Courtey. (Cami Jo is holding Sadie.) This was taken at the stock parade on Thursday. It was Tough Enough To Wear Pink night at the Rodeo (this is why everyone's in pink), and Drew and I were on the committee to organize the event. It went really well...we raised $3,600 for breast cancer research. This was our first year, so we hope to make it even better and raise even more money in the future.

Here's the full outfit that Sadie wore to the baby contest.

and us in the parade, next to my sister-in-law, Shelli.

This is what Sadie wore to the Rodeo Saturday night...I'm missing a lot of pictures from some of the events because I forgot my camera! Oh well...there's always next year!

It's Round-Up week!

I love this week! It's like the next best thing until Christmas comes again (I know I'm a weirdo). I just love the fun events, and spending lots of time with family, the parades, and of course the RODEO! Sadie was in the baby contest yesterday and took 2nd place in her age group. I was very excited about this, because her age group was 19- 36 months. Sadie was the youngest against kids that were almost 3! I really didn't think Sadie would place, because 2 year olds are much more interactive than a 1 1/2 year old. But she still did good, and we were excited to see her place. She gets to ride in the parade on Friday, so watch for us! Also, Shelli's new baby, Tessa, placed 2nd in the girls 3-6 months category, so we'll both be in the parade.

Cute pictures soon to come!

Zoo

It was finally a nice day, so the "girls" (me, Sadie, Cami, and mom) headed for the Zoo. Here's some fun pic along with some fun stories....

We began our day on the train ride. I remember it being much bigger and much cooler when I was little...it was actually quite lame, but Sadie had fun!

Here's us looking at the monkeys (you can't see them that well). Sadie would say "monkey" and make monkey noises. One of the bigger monkeys came really close the glass, so Sadie could see him really well. She kept telling him "hi" and would then blow him kisses.

We were all impressed with the elephants...

Sadie would say "bear", "roar" and "na-night" (because one the bears is laying down).

We were able to see the giraffes as they were being fed, so this was pretty cool. I finally got Sadie to turn around as she was telling me that the giraffes are "eating".

Fox 13 News was there, so we met Big Budda! Sadie loved talking to him! We thought it would be cheesy for us to ask for a picture with him, so we took one of him while he wasn't looking instead.

Sadie absolutely lOVED the carousel. She was a little skeptial at first, but she came around. She kept saying "weee", and then she started waving and saying "hi" to everyone as we were going around...it was so funny! I have no idea what animal Sadie is on. It's looks like a cross between a donkey, zebra and giraffe...seriously....what is that? The FOX 13 News camera was filming the kids on the Carousel. Every time we went around, Sadie would say hi and wave...

I'm not sure who's more excited here....me or Sadie...she was just cracking me up!

Sadie also loved the Zebras. She was even saying "zebra", which I've never heard her say before, so we got her one to take home....
Thanks Grandma and Cami for taking us to the ZOO!
